Today, we quietly signed a lease that will bring Storyville to South Congress this summer. Today's signing capped a month-long negotiation and a six month search for a home for Storyville on South Congress.
Just in case you didn't know, South Congress or "SoCo" is the main scene for hip and off beat independent and locally-owned retail businesses and restaurants in Austin.
On June 1, Storyville Austin will relocate to 1115 South Congress Avenue, which is the current home of Hovercraft. Around that time, Storyville's shop on the Drag will shut down (although it may be open through June -- we'll have to see how the transition goes).
