For the past year and a half I've been privileged enough to represent Storyville in various road races and triathlons. This morning I awoke to the opportunity to write for the Storyville Times ... my luck just keeps on rolling! As this is my first foray into such things as internet blogs I shall keep it brief.
After a two month break in competition, Storyville Athletics will once again be at the starting line as yours truly competes in the 23rd annual Sandestin Triathlon in Florida. It begins Saturday 22 at 6:30AM with a 1/2 -mile swim in the Gulf of Mexico (hopefully with no jellyfish), followed by a shade-less 20-mile bike ride via Highway 98, topped-off with a 4-mile scamper through the Baytowne area of the Sandestin Resort and an after party near the FINZ Beachside Grill.
So if you're in the area, feel free to cheer, point at, photograph and/or throw water on the guy decked out in custom Storyville race gear. Just don't do anything that might negatively impact the race, my sponsor is depending on me!Joey Dembrun is a Storyville-sponsored athlete and a guest blogger for StoryvilleTimes.com.
