For those of you who are unfamiliar, the South by Southwest Festival (or SXSW) is a huge annual gathering of the leaders and innovators in film, music and emerging technology and media.  For two weeks, people from all over the world and the United States flock to Austin to bask in the creative and fun atmosphere and to showcase their ideas at the festival.

Today marks the last day of SXSW Interactive, the newest and smallest of the three events that comprise SXSW.  SXSW Interactive celebrates the passion and creativity of the world's newest media technology and provides the opportunity for small technology entreprenuers to share their ideas with the world.  There's even a new three day gaming event called SXSW Screenburn.

It's all in keeping with the SXSW sense of accessibility and openness -- the next great unheard of in film or music really can make it big by making a good impression at South by Southwest and that sense of excitement is thick throughout the city right now.  Likewise, myself and everyone else at Storyville are very happy to have so many visitors and artists in town right now and look forward to catching a glimpse of the next great talent.  If you've got the chance, come and see what it's all about and to those of you already here, enjoy!
