Natalie here.  I've spent the last five days working in Storyville Austin alongside Josh and cousin Ian

I never worked in retail.  I was always that kid in college working the nerdy campus jobs.  I'd never even operated a cash register before.  But since Josh and I are going to tie the knot, we figured I should learn the ropes.

Although I've only worked in the shop for the past week, I've gained a new appreciation for what the guys and gals at Storyville do.  Although it's hard work, it's a lot of fun meeting cool new people everyday.  And so many of these people that I met expressed their excitement about sporting the latest from all the local designers that Storyville carries.

Speaking of hot new designs, I also modeled some new tees on the University of Texas campus.  Check out the website in the coming days for Walk it Out, Austin is Magical and the unveiling of a new Jeremiah the Innocent tee.

It hasn't been all work and no play, though.  Josh and I were able to ring in 2009 with some of the Railyard Records crew in downtown Austin on Sixth Street

I'll only be in town until Sunday, so if you're in town, drop by Storyville and tell me hello!  I've already eaten most of the free cookies from Free Cookie Friday, though, so you may be out of luck if you want one.  From all of us at Storyville, have a Happy New Year, and don't forget to keep it local!
