Seventh grader DeRondice Reese is a star

A week ago, I published the Storyville Monthly, which typically highlights new products and summarizes the previous months' blog entries about local Baton Rouge, Houston, Austin and New Orleans t-shirt designers.

One of the news stories highlighted in the Storyville Monthly was about a new tee designed by Baton Rouge South East Middle School seventh grader DeRondice ("Dee" for short) Reese.  Dee's "big brother" Elton Hyndman took one of Dee's drawings and had it screen printed on a shirt at Purple Monkey, and brought it to us to sell it in the Baton Rouge shop.  My sister Rebekah ran around the LSU campus with Elton and Dee snapping photos as the boys modeled the new shirt.

Anyway, I put the shirt online some ten days ago.  When it was highlighted in the Storyville Monthly, over 100 people clicked on the link, making it the most popular link in the e-mail (even more popular than the blog entry about Natalie and me getting engaged!).

So in case you missed it, here it is -- Demon by Delvocchio.  And, by the way, Elton also happens to be an assistant coach for the Baton Rouge Rollergirls -- Baton Rouge's new team of femmes fatales on skates.
