This afternoon, in the shadows of the National Mall in Washington, D.C, my eldest brother Joshua asked Natalie Naquin for her hand in marriage. Much to our delight and relief, she accepted his proposal and he then presented her with a ring.
I can't say how happy for and proud of we are of both Natalie and Josh. I also can't say how happy I am to not have to keep it a secret anymore.
Natalie is a wonderful person and is just crazy enough to join this family. In addition to her many other talents, Natalie is also an amazing chef. I only mention this because a great way for a fiancee to score points with a new in-laws (especially brothers-in-law) is to make delicious baked goods for them -- just a thought.
So, here's to you, Natalie and Josh. May you have many, many happy years together. We love you both and wish you only the best in what is sure to be a beautiful marriage.
