Carlotta Street Halloween Party Huge Success!

November 3, 2008 by Elizabeth Harvey

An estimated 8,000 - 10,000 costumed revelers turned out this past Friday night for the Carlotta Street Halloween Block Party in Baton Rouge!  This year's crowd was said to be the largest in over a decade, and everyone out there was having a good time.  The block party attracted all types - Tetras pieces, Edward Scissorhands, Palins with machine guns, Cleopatra, and even Jesus.

Storyville is a proud member of the North Gate Merchants Association, who were responsible this year for legalizing the party and making this event a continued Baton Rouge tradition.

Thanks to everyone who came out this year and helped keep the North Gate neighborhood alive and rockin'.

Be sure and check out the North Gate's next big block party... North Gate Fest 2008 on Friday November 14th - Barisal Guns will be headling!  A brand new fun run and a local arts market are two of the newest additions to the fest - check it out on facebook for more info... http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=23403560&ref=name#/event.php?eid=18795402219&ref=mf
