On Friday night, Baton Rouge will celebrate a Halloween tradition -- the Carlotta Street Block Party.
On the streets of Ivanhoe, State and Carlotta, people will parade around in some of the craziest costumes that you've ever seen.
And this year, thanks to the North Gate Merchants Association, the Carlotta Street Block Party is street legal. Last year, the Baton Rouge Police Department shut down the block party because a street permit had no been obtained for the event. But this year, that won't be an issue, because retailers like The Varsity, The Chimes, Tiger District, Highland Coffees, and Louie's Cafe have teamed up to obtain a permit for the party.
So if you're in Baton Rouge on Friday night, come out and experience a Baton Rouge tradition like no other. And this year, you won't even have to be worry about getting arrested! See you on Carlotta Street...
