Storyville to call Chimes Street home through 2010

Storyville was born on Chimes Street in Baton Rouge.  And, as of today, Storyville can call Chimes Street home through December 31, 2010, and hopefully much longer after that.

Back in late 2006, the Harvey kids signed a one-year lease on 236 W. Chimes Street.  The short term lease only ran through 2007, and there were no guarantees that Storyville would have a Chimes Street home come 2008.  After being in a scary month-to-month lease for the first half of 2008 (and after months of negotiations), we're happy to announce that we've just signed a new 2.5 year lease that won't expire until January 1, 2011.

The Storyville Austin lease currently runs through July 2010, but the lease contains a 3 year option to renew (there is no option to renew in the Chimes Street lease -- we tried, but we came up short).  So, for at least for the next 2.5 years, Storyville will have homes on the Drag (in Austin) and on Chimes Street.  And we'll keep supporting local artists and designers -- who get half of everything we sell!

Storyville is doing its part to revitalize Chimes and Guadalupe Streets, which are the historic commerical areas built around LSU and the University of Texas.  Please do your part by supporting locally owned businesses in the North Gates of LSU and on the Drag in Austin
