Early this brisk and beautiful morning, Josh and I joined the TAG Street Team, as I am calling them, to put our name on the street (quite literally).
TAG, or the Texas Advertising Group, is a bunch of extremely talented and committed advertising students at the University of Texas who every year select and help out a local non-profit or small business by volunteering their excellent ideas and services. We were lucky enough to be chosen and we asked that we concentrate on what is often called "guerilla marketing" -- trying to reach people in new and less traditional ways.
So this morning, Ashley Richerson, Ryan Downs, and Jennifer Greiger (unless you are with the UT Police, in which case their names are Rashley Icherson, Dyan Rowns, and Grennifer Jeiger) of TAG braved sleep loss and early mornin' chill to chalk the streets and sidewalks of UT's lovely campus. We can't thank them enough, not just for this, but for all the hard work that TAG is doing for us. Cheers!
What's next for TAG and Storvyille? A biplane doing smokewriting in the sky? A promotional tightrope walk across Guadalupe Street? Josh dressed up as a giant hot dog (my personal favorite)? Stay tuned to find out.
