Storyville survives the Austin Marathon (but just barely)

Somebody should have told me that Austin has hills.  Lots of them.

And I think Gabriel and I climbed every single one of the Austin hills.  Anyway, we joined 5,000 marathon runners and 6,000 additional half marathon runners during the race.  The weather was beautiful, the crowds were excited (and generous with the gummy bears) and, overall, it was an incredible experience (the hills notwithstanding).

Storyville Athletics now turns its attention to two more races in 2008 -- New Orleans' Crescent City Classic (March 22) and the Marine Corps Marathon and 10K (October 26) in Washington DC.  If you'd like to join Team Storyville for either of these events, send me an e-mail at storyville.austin@gmail.com.
